Large single green Tremolite crystal from the Merelani Tanzanite mines. This is a big one with a smooth, flat termination face and typical splintery edges. Gemmy with superb, vivid green coloration. These are only occassionally found and usually in smaller sizes - at nearly 5cm tall this is much bigger than most. I have seen some longer than 4.8cm, but they are usually thinner crystals - this one is thick and robust.
