Linarite is a classic, highly-regarded mineral species but extremely rare from the famous Roughton Gill Mine in England. This specimen features an intense blue, 1 cm Linarite crystal resting on a bed of crystalline Quartz, with smaller blades of Linarite and some Malachite adding a bit of accent to the piece. Old-time material from the 1800s, the vivid, instantly-recognizable color and relative rarity of good Linarites help make it one of the most highly desired species from these old English locales.
