Gorgeous specimen of honey-orange colored Grossular Garnet crystals to 15mm from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. They are transparent, gem quality with good luster and rich saturated color. They are glassy and clear - pure orange water. The crystals have rhombic dodecahedral habit with sharp crystallization. The crystals have nice striations characteristic for Jeffrey mine. With such amazing gemminess and irresistible color it is a truly superb Garnet from this great and closed mine. It displays beautifully on both sides. The piece is almost a complete floater with very small contact areas. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some small contact areas.

Killer Jeffrey mine Garnet!
