A beautifully faceted round cut pink Fluorite from the famous August 26-28, 2019 find of pink Fluorite at the Huanggang mines in China. It is a lovely rich pink color that is nearly flawless - without the typical hairlike inclusions (of Byssolite or Actinolite) visible in so many. The micro-fine hairs here are only visible upon close inspection of the stone. The gem has a depth of 1.2 cm that accents its beautiful rich pink color and it is finely cut to catch and reflect any incident light. Fluorite is a challenge to facet due to the minerals relatively low harness so tremendous care must be taken when cutting the rough material to fabricate it into a lovely stone such as this. This beauty is 22.5 carats.
