Superb specimen of excellent Kulanite crystals with gemmy blue Lazulite and Quartz from Rapid Creek - the famous phosphate deposit of Yukon, Canada. Kulanite is very rare barium, iron, aluminum phosphate and this is the type locality. The Kulanite crystals up to 6mm have very dark (almost black) oil-green color and strong luster. They are well shaped. Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate and some of the finest come from this locality. Lazulite crystals are sharp, highly lustrous, very well formed, monoclinic, deep indigo blue to royal blue colored measuring up to 4mm. The most amazing aspect is the gemminess of the crystals – they are transparent with marvelous and saturated blue-green colors. Sharp colorless Quartz crystals enrich the display. In good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
