Pargasite is an uncommon member of the Amphibole group, and an unusually colorful one, at that. This Pargasite is superb in every way, much sharper than normally seen. The 1.2 x 1.2 cm crystal, reasonably large for the species, has sharp, lustrous faces with attractive striations, it is gemmy to translucent, and has intense green color. The crystal has a very good stepped termination, with the other end covered by the attractive, contrasting white marble. Highly representative of the uncommon, very colorful species and locality.
