This strikingly limpid and gemmy macle-twinned diamond displays the highly sought-after twinning. While a common twinning habit in other minerals, it is much rarer when observed in diamonds. Natural diamond twins are getting harder and harder to find as most get cut for the jewelry industry. This diamond exhibits a frosted adamantine luster with superb transparency and a subtle golden-yellow hue. This diamond also exhibits trigons showcasing its natural origin (proof that it was not polished). From a small parcel of surprisingly good Russian material, we bought more than a decade ago from an NYC source in the gem trade! 1.24 ct, 7.45 x 6.70 x 2.80 mm.
