Very unusual specimen of garnet var. andradite var. melanite crystals from Kayes Region, Mali. The melanites are black with a perfect razor-sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and matt. They have pretty beveled edges colored pale yellow-green, which is very unusual. The dominant 39mm crystal at the top forms an excellent focal point. In good condition – some small damages. On acrylic base.
