Tourmalines are some of the most diverse and popular gems out there. This particular gem was cut from a piece of rough found a few years ago in Mozambique. The stone shows a beautiful bright green color face up with a lovely blue-green color when viewed from the side. The cut on the gem is an "Emerald Step" and very eye-catching in any kind of light. The most impressive aspect of this stone is that it is virtually eye clean ! Tourmaline is classified as a "Type 3" gemstone, because inclusions are almost always present, and accepted by dealers and collectors, so when you find a stone like this, it's a big deal. I have to say that these stones are becoming harder and harder to find these days, and to have a gem over 3 carats that's eye clean is certainly impressive for this area.$200
