How to get your site listed
Do you run a mineral dealer website? Your minerals can be listed here on minfind.com, for our standard listings there is a one-off $500 charge for integration and connection (see below) and then NO ongoing charges - your site will continue to be indexed on a regular basis.Contact jolyon@minfind.com
Technical Integration
There are two ways we can integrate your site into ours. The easiest is to create a CSV file containing information about your new minerals every time you update the site. You can create this with Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc, or if you have a database-driven website it isn't hard to create this file automatically from your database. Integration cost for this option is $500.Alternatively, you can allow us to crawl your website automatically. You don't need to do any extra work, but we do, so we will need to charge you an additional fee in addition to the $500 setup cost for doing this (please contact us for a quote). Additionally, every time your website code changes (eg redesign your pages) you may need us to adapt our code to take your changes into account, and this will be an additional charge. So, if you can use the CSV approach, it's by far the simplest in the long term.

Notes
Here is a list of the fields required in the CSV file. Mandatory fields marked with a *Reference * - Your unique specimen ID. Can be a number or alphanumeric.
URL * - Full URL of the page on your website where the specimen can be purchased (must include http://)
Name * - Specimen title - mineral names must be included in this, for example "Dioptase on Calcite"
Locality * - Locality name, ideally in format with country at end, eg Tsumeb Mine, Otavi, Namibia. Please add USA if necessary
Mindat Locality - If you know which mindat locality ID matches your locality, add it here
Description * - Full text description for the specimen. Carriage returns should be replaced with ^p.
Price * - Price of specimen, currency symbols optional (but only one currency, your primary, should be used).
Width * - Width in mm.
Height - Height in mm (optional, but should be included except in exceptional cases).
Depth - Depth in mm (optional, but should be included except in exceptional cases).
Weight - Weight in grams (optional). Carat weights can be divided by five for this field.
Photo 1 * - First photo of specimen (one photo is required), URL for image on your website.
Photo 2 - Second photo of specimen, URL for image on your website.
Photo 3 - Third photo of specimen, URL for image on your website.
Photo 4 - Fourth photo of specimen, URL for image on your website.
Photo 5 - Fifth photo of specimen, URL for image on your website.
Photo 6 - Sixth photo of specimen, URL for image on your website.
Photo 7 - Seventh photo of specimen, URL for image on your website.
Photo 8 - Eighth photo of specimen, URL for image on your website.
Photo 9 - Ninth of specimen, URL for image on your website.
